Ms. Thompsons Intervention Plan
Summary of Findings
Based on the assessment carried out on Ms. Thompson, it is clear that her intervention
plan should be based around: general cognitive assessment, attention tests, language tests,
visuospatial tests, learning tests, and tests of reasoning. About general cognitive assessment, Ms.
Thompson cognitive was found to be having low retention ability in comparison to the expected
normal. As well, her acquisition rate is wanting as it was lower as compared to the normal
learning curve. Conversely, attention tests showed her working memory as for being faltered
about the expected results. Nonetheless, she was found to be able to sustain attention over time.
Her visuospatial functions were found to be operating on the applicable limits. Nevertheless, her
approach of copying complex figures was found to be mildly disorganized. As well, she
displayed impairment in her retain the ability for complex figural information as related to
learning and memory. Consequently, she displayed slow recall rates as related to learning.
Therefore, conclusively her pattern of learning showed weakness in encoding new information.
On the other hand, minimal impairments were noted in her non-verbal and verbal reasoning. As
well, her cognitive flexibility and problem-solving skills were not affected.

Associated Psychological Tests
For general cognitive impairments, the Revelian’s Linear-on-the-fly item streaming
software could be deployed to carry out tests on the patient. This is where the patient is subjected
to a set of questions with varying levels of difficult and guarantees confidence in the results as
the assessment is not the same for two candidates. Likewise, it features a broad range of
questions which comprehensively improve the assessment testing of individual’s cognitive
abilities (Hoch). On the other hand, on attention test, the sustained attention test may be deployed
which is designed around measuring an individual's ability to withhold responses to
unpredictable and infrequent stimuli.
Conversely, concerning language testing the clinical cultural and linguistic assessment
(CCLA) is a design for assessing target language communication. This is as related to a primary
care medical setting on cultural sensitivity and linguistics. On the other hand, the visual-spatial
intelligence test may be used for visuospatial testing. This is by the use of 3D manipulations to
for one to piece, flip and rotate images as significant in everyday life. About learning, the
IQCODE questionnaire assessment which represents Informant Questionnaire for Cognitive
Decline in the Elderly may be fundamentally be used (White). Finally, reasoning may be tested
using the abstract reasoning test. This is by assessing, interpreting, and identifying patterns of the
patient's thinking. It features patterns such as objects and sequences from which the patient is to
draw sequential interactivity.
