The Great War had a tremendous effect on Boucheron more so on the families because men
joined the war as soldiers, their wives and children had to replace them in the different work
areas. This consequently gave the children a lot of pressure to work and support their mothers in
providing family provisions.
Soldiers who got injured on the battlefield came back home having serious injuries both
physical and psychological. In most cases, these men were devastated to talk about their
different experiences in the war, and it took them a very long duration to recover from these
horrific experiences they acquired. In fact, most were left with a long time trauma of war and
found it almost impossible to have a healthy communication with their families.
There were many economic changes in Boucheron as technology experienced a huge boost,
production of war machinery, and automobiles to an enormous extent skyrocketed. However, a
lot of losses were experienced more so on property and finances as a result of this war. The
community was faced with a massive debt as a result of indulging into the war.
Depopulation was another problem that faced Boucheron, a lot of men were killed in the
battle, and this contributes to a drastic decline of the population. Those who were left behind felt
the painful loss of their family members. Besides, many children have left orphans due to the
death of their parents in the battlefield. Grief, loneliness, sorrow, and panic were the deep
