1. How useful are patterns to you as a student and to your chosen career?

• Patterns play an important role in organizing my thoughts to help me achieve my tasks

as a student. They also help in providing details and transitions that are needed in order

to accomplish my works that are needed in my chosen career, such as completing

reports.

2. Give practical applications of pattern you follow in your daily life.

• Pattern is important in our daily life because it can be used in construction of

mathematical models. We can continually make theories about quantities in our nature

and society. This may also help in our knowledge in observing and distinguishing things

around us.

3. Looking at the things that surrounds you, take 10 pictures that signifies patterns. What

pattern do they follow? Explain. Paste and table them as shown below.

Pattern

The arrangement of the CDO cans is

in order. The meatloaf comes first,

followed by corned beef, and

another kind of meatloaf. Then the

pattern is repeated once again

before it stops at the third corned

beef.

The battery charger has 4 switches

that come in two alternate

shapes. The first is the fuse button

that comes in circle, the second is

the minimum/maximum button

which comes in rectangle, then

another fuse button in circle,

followed by the power switch in a

rectangle.

The cups are arranged according to

the colors from light to dark, giving

the shades a good blend.

The fretboard marks come after

another in between certain frets.

They are placed in the third, fifth,

seventh, ninth, twelfth, fifthteenth,

seventeenth, and nineteenth frets.

Pattern

There are 12 circles in a 3 by 4

position of the same sizes on the

muffin pan. They are there so the

muffins can fit inside perfectly so it

can be molded as it bakes.
