Cherokee gave an appeal and did not want to go beyond Mississippi. The leaders of
Cherokee and the other four ethnic groups were so much rooted in their ancestral land.
Therefore, they said that they were not willing to leave the land that their forefathers owned to a
foreign land which is beyond Mississippi. Additionally, in those days, the members of
community of Cherokee were the Models of the region. They had a civilized way of living
whereby; they build schools and educated their children. The Cherokee had a centralized
government that was characterized by the constitution that governed them. Additionally, they got
involved in various economic activities. For example, Cherokee were farmers and did not
experience food shortages at any point in the community. The community therefore lamented
that they were being forced the lives they had established in the land for a foreign land which
was not known to them (Jackson, 1830).

Case of removal act outlines the obligations of the community that is displacing the other
from their native land. Additionally, the article contains the rights of a given community towards
their ancestral land. The act was useful not only to the US government but also to the Indian
government due to the collisions that are likely to occur where state and general governments are
involved. The act was meant to bring a disparity between the whites and the Indians in the Native
American land. The act would therefore make the Indians free from the slavery and humiliations
that they were earlier subjected to by the white Americans. The Indians would finally live happy
