In What Ways Does Subsistence Influence The Other Aspects Of Human Culture?
Introduction
Culture is how people earn their living, including arts and beliefs passed from one
generation to another. Culture also includes dressing codes, manners, language, religion, and
rituals of a particular group. Subsistence is a strategy and manner in which groups of people
produce their food. Money is the key to getting food in the capitalist system. They used the
money to purchase the land and seeds to build food for people who were not farming who should
have money to buy foods. Anthropologists have discovered that subsistence strategies influence
other types of behaviors, for example, the social structure, economic systems, politics, and
worldview (Scupin et al., 2021).

Foraging is a subsistence system that depends on animal food resources and wild plants.
This system is referred to as hunting and gathering. Food foraging societies used simple

of people has enhanced development whereby machine-made tools are making their way into the
foraging societies. There is a high degree of mobility in foraging societies where the group is
likely to follow migrating herds and available seasonal resources (Henry, 2018). There are rare
permanent settlements in Foraging societies, and production is for personal use, sharing, and
trading. Division of labor is divided according to age and gender. There is no private ownership
