Description of organization-Samsung
The company manufactures electronics which are sold all over the world. Products
include Mobile phones, Televisions, Refrigerators, split air conditioners and washing machine.
Other electronics include flash memories, hard drives, semiconductors, lithium ion batteries and
chips. The company targets a wide range of customers who range from individuals who use
devices on a daily basis to other companies in the technology industry who purchase electronics
like hard drives in large quantities.
The products do not have a specific target group but targets any individual who is able to
purchase and learn how to use the product as offered in the market. However, in reality,
individuals between the ages of 25-50 years are the largest portion of customers for they have the
most capability to purchase the company’s products. They are also the group of individuals who
have the need for products like washing machine and vacuum cleaners. The younger generation
of 14-24 year old customers is also growing as the company’s products suit their needs
especially through smart phone products (Linda).
The company identifies customer opportunities and through the identified opportunities,
they frame effective product value building propositions and changes so as to ensure that the
customer is fully satisfied. Customers consider and continue purchasing the company’s products
despite of the available substitutes because the company does thorough research on customer
needs and customises products to meet different needs .The company’s product pricing is done in
a way that no potential customer is left out regardless of their level of income and the amount
each individual is willing to spend is put into consideration. The company also offers high
