Question 1: Major Ethical Issues
The primary ethical considerations can be encountered while formulating the
recommendations to Mega Food Inc. The major ethical issues that need to be considered include
environmental conservation; since Mega Food Inc. deals with food products, the company must
conserve the environment by making sure that garbage disposal is properly done to avoid
pollution. Secondly, payment of federal taxes; the company is legally obligated to pay its taxes to
the government to ensure it conforms to the code of ethics and the law (Northouse, 2015).
Additionally, with regards to its pricing strategy, Mega Food must fairly price its products. As an
ethically responsible company, it should exploit its customers or engage in unfair competition by
overcharging or undercharging its customers. Furthermore, there is need to ensure accountability
and transparency within its value chain or operations. Mega Food must avail publicly its
financial statements for public scrutiny to demonstrate accountability and prove it upholds
ethical practices. Such an act will help build a positive brand image and corporate reputation.

employees, which ultimately result in a lack of cohesion or in-fighting, especially within the top
management ranks. Additionally, management might encounter resistance from employees with
many years of experience. Hence, one need to be strategic to explain the envisage changes to
secure their early buy-in clearly (Northouse, 2015). The top management might fail to agree and
sanction the changes fully. Thus the lack of top management commitment support might stifle
