LEADERS-EMPLOYEES CONNECTION

Leaders find it very hard to connect with their employees emotions because of a number

of things. To start with, most leaders divide the attention they give to their employees. By doing

so, they increase the gap between them and their employees and therefore they cannot connect

emotionally. The other thing that makes leaders fail to connect emotionally with their employees

is the superiority complex that one gets as they climb the ladder to higher leadership positions. I

have a friend who ended up resigning because his boss was always on his neck to deliver and

saw him as inferior. He even went ahead to insult him based on him qualifications and

experience. The feel that they are on top of the world and look down on employees. By doing so,

they eliminate any possibility of connecting emotionally.
