Robinson Crusoe
In the novel, a man known as Robinson Crusoe gives a recording about his own life story.
He was born in 1632 in city of York from a German father Kreutznaer. Crusoe had three brothers
him being the youngest the eldest is a soldier while the second born vanished mysteriously. His
father gives him a sterning lecture about the aspect of accepting a middle class life an advice that
Crusoe resolves to follow. Crusoe later succumbs to temptation from his friends and boards a
ship that is faced by wrath of bad weather. He prays so hard in fears for his life that God delivers
him and later they are all saved.

showed no resistance as may be perceived as a sign of gratitude for Crusoe saved his life
((Defoe, Keith & Recorded Books, 27). Their kind of introverted relationship may be inferred to

A native with whom Crusoe escapes with from the African attack. He had formed a
rather strong relationship and that Crusoe had trusted the young slave as the other slave with
whom they had been captured together was forced to swim on the ocean as he sailed on board.
Crusoe had offered to convert him to Christianity on the promise of freedom after 10 years.
However when they met with the ship’s captain, he was sold to the captain probably as a result
of race.
