CHILD OBESITY SCREENING 2
Reasons for child obesity
When it comes to screening, it is vital to ensure that the reason why the actual screening
is being undertaken is identified as well as possible outcomes. In this case, I chose child obesity
to be the reason for my research. I was able to select child obesity as my option for which I
would create a screening for. Child obesity is a condition that has been identified to be the reason
behind many children getting other diseases like diabetes as well as cardiovascular diseases. I
chose the topic because it can be identified through screening and when identified, it is easy to
set up measures to avoid further damage to the person.
Population
The main population that I will be focusing on is children between the age of five years
and ten years. These are simply children that are in the beginning years of their education and are
often the main targets of bad habits of eating (Bagchi, 2011). It is important to acknowledge the
fact that majority of these children are the once that have bad eating habits. This is something
that results in them becoming obese especially when they are at this age and hence they end up
obese. Identifying this early one will help the children.
Effects on the outcomes
The screening will be able to identify the children that can be seen to be obese. There are
several things that will be checked among them the blood pleasure as well as the heart rate.
When I identify that a child has child obesity, measures that can be take will be suggested to the
child who is a participant as well as the parents in an effort to ensure that they problem does not
grow to be come any larger than it is. Depending on the outcomes of the screening, I will be able
to offer the most appropriate advice to those that are involved.
