Smoking is an addictive custom that is overgrowing around the world. It is harmful
because it is accompanied by terrible health effects, including diseases that can result in death.
According to recent research on smoking, smoking causes almost 8,000,000 deaths annually for
world mortality research. The habit is also associated with problems that affect society in
general. The diseases affect the community indirectly, and the effects of smoking smoke exhaled
by real smokers. Smoking is a bad habit accompanied by adverse health effects which affect
smokers and society indirectly, although it has some solutions which can aid in reducing the
impacts and seizing the habit.
Different types of smoke affect people differently, and they impose other effects on the
users' health. For instance, the use of nicotine smoke is associated with the blockage of blood
vessels because the smoke from nicotine accumulates in the blood vessels, resulting in adverse
heart diseases (Omare et al., 2021). Cigarette smoke affects body organs and is associated with
lung cancer, stroke, and circulatory diseases (Ware & Munafo, 2018). Smoking can generally
affect users in terms of work productivity due to addiction, and the effects can indirectly affect
society because they will lack experienced labor for organizations and institutions (Almeida et
al., 2020). 25% of the people affected by smoking get the adverse effects of lung cancer.
Passive smoking from those who stay around smokers can affect passive smokers in
diverse ways because they also inhale harmful chemicals. Some of the effects include; asthma,
worsened bronchitis, and the smoke may trigger other underlying conditions (Singh et al., 2017).
Passive smokers are also prone to lung cancer because the smoke exhaled by real smokers
