THE PRESIDENTIAL ROLE IN HISTORY 2
Introduction
The definition and nature of the administration has advanced significantly through the
span of United States of America history, from the restricted role the composers of the
constitution had as a top priority to the ascent of the president-focused legislature of the
twentieth century. Currently as laid down in the constitution, the head of state is required to serve
and deliver a number of obligations among them; acts as the figurative spearhead of the nation,
implement the rules, assign crucial state representatives, award amnesties and exonerations,
command the military, Discuss with other nations, Sign the bills and announce bills. It is against
this background, amid the postwar period, the administration of Harry Truman assumed a critical
part is the events during and after the war.
Harry Truman took over the presidency from Franklin D. Roosevelt before the end of the
world war two. A candidgentleman who had previously served as an autonomous congressperson
from Missouri, at that time as deputy president, Truman at first felt not well settled to lead the
nation. Roosevelt had not trusted in him about common complex issues that he was to face after
the war and he had minimal related knowledge in international undertakings. Be that as it may,
Truman reacted rapidly to new difficulties. Imprudent, he demonstrated willing to settle on fast
choices about the issues he confronted. A sign on his White House work area, since celebrated in
American governmental issues, read "The Buck Stops Here," and mirrored his eagerness to
assume liability for his activities (Donovan, 1996). His judgments about how to act in response
to the Soviet Union importantly affected the Cold War, the American daily lives as well as left a
mark in the history of the entire world.
