Criminal offenses can be defined as an action which is considered wrong and it is
punishable by law. Over criminalization is the act of stunning unbalanced penalties with no
relation to the weight of the offense committed or the capability of the offender. Over
criminalization is a major problem, and, are caused by the government. The criminal law
maintains order and protects the consumers. Instead of law enforcement together with
government to play their role of retaining peace and justice, they are the people who are involved
in over criminalization.
The unintended consequence of over criminalization are; The law enforcement agencies
are making money from illegal drugs and doing it legally by taking advantage of minor offers.
The police agencies arrest people who have been drugged or those who are involved in minor
offenses rather than stopping the companies or organization which are involved in illegal
business. They receive bribery from companies so as not to terminate the products hence they
move on the street arresting people who have drugged. This industry has become cash flow for
law enforcement because they are receiving money to do away with the case, and these will lead
to the increase of criminal offense because the cause of the offense is much protected by the
government.
Injustice is one of the unintended consequence of the over criminalization because these
is whereby you find the police is on the side the person who has not committed crime because
the person involved has either bribed the police to protect him/her for the wrong event. In this
case, the non-offender will be fined for the crime that he/she has not done. These shows the
police agencies are not doing their work as it is required and they are the most people who are
