CASE STUDY ON ELECTRIC CARS 2
Answer 1
Yes, I think electric cars will soon be a viable alternative to gasoline-powered vehicles.
The population across the world is embracing this technology, especially that it will help
mitigate climate change. Additionally, some governments support this shift by providing
subsidies to electric vehicle manufacturers, while others have outlined strategic goals towards
reducing greenhouse gases. For instance, Saudi Arabia, despite being a top producer and exporter
of crude oil, the country has indicated its intention to have cut emissions to zero level by 2060
(Oxford Analytica, 2021). Thus, this Green Initiative will require successive administrations to
support green energy initiatives across the country. Besides, as government subsidies attract
more auto manufacturers, there will be accelerated innovations for electric vehicles, increasing
competition in the manufacture and commercialization of electric vehicles, thus improving their
affordability.

the world leader in electric vehicle manufacture technology, there are certain operations and
supply chain strategies that the company needs to embrace to compete sustainably because the
threat of new entrants is real. For instance, there are so far many unexplored markets. For
instance, the company should engage in a program of identifying locations with materials that
can support battery production and establish battery-producing facilities in such areas.
Additionally, they can couple this with the establishment of charging facilities. These initiatives
