Same sex marriage
Same sex marriage is all about the marriage between two people of the same gender. It is also
called gay marriage. Legal recognition of the same sex marriage has brought many arguments to
both the same party, that is, those who support and those against it. Since the beginning of the
21st century many countries have legalized the gay marriage. Some of these countries include
Argentina, United kingdom, Spain, Brazil, South Africa and part of united states.
Same sex marriage has its own advantages and disadvantages. Discrimination does not
only apply in racism alone, it also applies where the government allows some people to get
married and others not. It explains that the government classifies the homosexual persons as the
second rate citizens after heterosexuals. Second advantage they get is the access of the equal
benefits. There are a lot of benefits that legalized married couples get, for example insurance
perks and tax benefits. Now that the same sex couples could marry they get to enjoy the same
benefits of married people.
Everyone needs love; the issue of denying same people who love each other not to get
married is denying them their rights. Since the adopting agencies only releases children to those
couples who are married, by legalizing gay marriage it will force the adopting agencies to give
