CONSULTANCY REPORT APPLYING P-O-L-C.
CONSULTANCY REPORT TO HELP MIKE DAVIS AND HIS FAMILY SOLVE
THEIR BUSINESS PROBLEMS
MANAGEMENT PROCESS.
Mike ,Ethan and Daisy need first to understand management and its process.
Management is a process of quality of physical and human resources to seek objectives. It is a
human and social process directed at individuals to get things done. Like other processes it
consists of many actions, activities and functions which are to be carried out in logical sequence
.It is a result oriented process directly related with the task of determining objectives and
devising ways and it means to accomplish them efficiently. Management is a continuous process
and the elements or activities involved are known as functions of Management. This popular
approach was developed by a Person called Henry Fayol. He claimed that planning, organizing,
command coordinating and control were basic and common denominators for all managers in the
process of management. But later due to change taking place in the nature and field of
management it changed to Planning, Organizing, Staffing, directing and controlling.
Managing a business is a continuous process which has no definable end and steps or elements
involved to be performed in it are to be performed in a continuous cycle. In this case it was
required you observe the Continuity process in your business by analyzing into several elements
like Planning, Organizing, staffing, directing and Controlling. This does not mean that the
process always has to begin with planning and ends with controlling as I have mentioned but the
elements or functions are inter-related and interdependent. The functions may be fused and the
sequence may begin with any function and the entire process cycle may be completed.
The managerial functions are circular interactive in a way meaning they are contained within
each other. For example; planning, organizing, directing and controlling all may occur within the
planning process and somehow all functions may be considered as sub-functions of each other.
Management is also human and social process and is not a mechanical process. It influences
significantly the people inside and outside an organization and the society as a whole. It has far
reaching social consequences and therefore the manager while taking decisions must remember
the likely impact of his decisions both on the staff and the society. Moreover, the management
process is carried out by people, through people and for people and also by people in one sense.
In addition, all managerial functions must be considered in their totality because management
process is organic and integrated as whole.

The final outcome is greater than the aggregate of their individual contributions. Therefore a
