INDUSTRILIZATION AFTER CIVIL WAR
Introduction
Since World War II the United States Military has been termed the policemen of the world since they
have actively taken the role of ensuring peace throughout the world. This has been seen through their
interventions in several war torn countries especially in Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa. The US
military intervention though in most case has not been positively welcomed but their actions have been
justified. The big question remains, how could the world be without the US military? Ever since the
world war II the US military have taken the role of ensuring protection of the innocent civilians who in
most case are the most affected whenever war broke out (Entman, 2004).
Thesis statement
The role of the United States Military in providing security in different parts of the world with known
endless cycles of warfare cannot be underestimated. United States Military actions to protect the rights
of innocent civilians whenever a country is at war are justified since they form a corner stone of the
World Peace. Over the past five years, the United States Military has been involved in several operation
in the aim of keeping the country safe and enhancing world safety. The rise of religion extremists is
partly to blame for the rise in terrorist related activities, especially within the Middle East region.
American foreign policy acknowledges the important of promoting democracy in places where the
government is oppressive to its citizen. Human rights violations and terror breeding regimes have been
on the radar of the US government. Consultations are always done prior to deploying military personnel
to their target zones. The military has been involved in two main interventions since its withdrawal from
Iraq; Libya and Pakistan respectively.
