lot of data in one section and if we speak of any organization, there can be inventory data, sales
data, cash data, customer data, and supplier data and so on; a database maintains all this data and

must be accurate and up to date. Database management system is very sophisticated now and
days and it is designed according to requirements of organizations, in the system it is defined that
how data will be accessed, how it will be stored, how data will maintain accuracy, how data will
show resilience to data theft threats, how various kinds of data will interact with each other and
what kind of data will be generated on which kind of query, for example if executive wants to
know about customers who don’t pay on time, the list of such customers should be produced by
database management system. There are many well database management systems like SQL,
Oracle and IBM; these days almost all listed organizations are using database management
systems, most of the companies get the system of their liking and also get it customized.
