ROLE OF THE MANAGER 2
The Role of the Manager in Employee Motivation and Engagement
For every successful manager, there must be employees who are engaged and motivated
to see the management meet its goals. In order for any business to be a success, employees must
be engaged and motivated, which is a responsibility entirely obligated to the organizations
leadership. Managers motivate and engage employees through positive attitudes, employee
recognition, competitive salaries and good benefits, and job promotion opportunities. When
employees are not motivated or engaged, the business will not be a success. This research will
examine the role the manager plays in employee motivation and engagement.
