Media platform can support commercial and political engaged forms of pop culture in East of
Asia.
Culture is the aspect of social life which is experienced by individuals who have a
common goal in life. While popular culture usually involve media, products and beliefs of
attitude which are much considered to be part of the given culture and the every life of the
common individual. The culture of East Asian culture refers to a group of states or countries in
the East of Asia. The culture of East Asia is much influenced by the culture of china. The culture
of East Asian is much influenced by the Confucian of the ethical philosophy in Asia which
includes, Buddhism, political and legal structures and also some of the historical events which
were much commonly in written systems (Selwyn, 2004).
The media platform is a much important form of communication across the world. It is
necessary to understand the importance of media in appreciating the role of media in
understanding the happening most related to culture. Also, in the other hand culture shapes
media and support of public participation in politics. Therefore, pop culture and the media of
East Asia is much inter linked. The Asian culture is well known for its practices of Buddhism
and the new technology influenced by media have enabled the circulating of images related to
Buddhism and the entire culture of East Asia. As long media exists in East Asia, there have been
the advertisement of pop culture in all part of Asia. The advertisement can be done through
magazines, newspapers, life broadcasting in TV and also advertisement in the integrated internet.
Since the rise of platform media, the networked population of East Asia has known how
commercial and politics has used pop culture to advertise themselves. When information related
to culture or the popular culture are advertised in the media platform, it becomes a major
opportunity for politics and commercial individuals to particular advertise for their own benefit.
This is because most of the people may be involved in learning culture through media. At the
same time, politics may be influenced in the media and individuals will automatic the messages
from the politician and commercial media. In the same time, media have become the fact of life
for many people in East of Asia. It involves actors, activists, non-governmental organizations,
software providers and firms related to telecommunication who usually work closely to educate
individuals about the culture of Asia (Shirky, 2011).
The information from Steger which is found in chapter five which relate dimensions and
globalization is much important in comparing how culture is influenced by globalization. The
transformation of commercial media in the past years is of much significant in understanding the
popular culture of Asia. The transformation of the commercial media has led to saturation of
global culture in media and the advertisements through influential technologies in
communication. The media is increasingly shaped people to be able to classify their longings
across the world. The important of pop culture is obvious that the relationship experienced
between news and entertainment have emerged to be stronger compared to artist and designers.
