Bernie Sanders

Bernie Sanders is a politician in America and the junior Senator of Vermont. He is one of

the candidates of the presidential elections scheduled for 2016. He is a democratic member since

2013, and is said to be one of the candidates that have served the country for a long time as an

independent candidate. Bernie Sanders has actively being in the limelight as a civil rights activist

emphasizing on equality in terms of race. He rose to prominence nationally in 2010, after his

filibuster that was against the extension of the proposed bush tax cuts. He is always in favor of

policies that favor democracies socially, which have helped him build a reputation as one leader

who voices his concerns on issues, such as global warming, reforms in finance, healthcare, and

inequalities in the society, and the rights of LGBT (Bernie, 2016).

His campaigns urge the citizens of America to make decisions on the gap between the

middle class and the rich, which is constantly growing to make sure that they come up with

solutions to lessen it. He urges for the fight against its growth by coming up with policies that

will encourage creation of more jobs, raising wages, provision of healthcare and the protection of

the environment (Bernie, 2016). His policies are meant to prepare the citizens to take over the

political and economic power in their hands to ensure that the billionaires club does not increase

as the poor become poorer. How the citizens take the situation will determine their future and the

future of America. Bernie Sanders from his promises and his manifesto is likely to lead America

positively. He has in the past being active in the creation of policies that ensure that there is

equality in the country making it easy for him to continue advocating for the same.
