International convention to genocide had numerous effects on the history of Native
Americans (Indians) and African captives during slavery and afterward and history. Genocide is
simply the mass killing which is targeted on a group depending on their race religion or political
affiliations.
In America, when Christopher Columbus first arrived, there was plenty of gold and
mineral resources. The Italian representative was aggressive to take the best resources to his
country. During his time after when he had mined nearly all the available gold, Christopher
shifted to transporting the best Indians to Italy. The first voyage to transport Indians to Italy as a
source of labor but unfortunately, more than half the voyage died on the way. Leadership
systematically put in place legal justification to dispose the Native Americans’ land and
resources. When political alliance shifted to military massacres, it was the- to be- the worst
period of inhumane actions in history. The main drive behind the inhumane actions was the
belief of racial and religion supremacy. Indians were placed under compulsory trusteeship as
they were believed to be incompetent and incapable. As a way of controlling and establishing
their rule, the Italians used massacres to cut down the population of the Native Americans. The
population was reduced by almost 90%. Throughout history, the population of Indians has
remained relatively low. The policy invented for military domination and the asserted trusteeship
has had a lasting impact on the contemporary relationship between the United States and the
American Indians (Diop, 1991).
Similarly, the Black Africans who were shipped form their land to America were very
aggressive and furious. They came into America under oppressions and were housed in humble
