POLICE CODE OF ETHICS 2
Police sub culture are the set of believes, behavior and values that the police observe in
their work. This culture entails the police to act tough and have strong cultural values amongst
them even during the hard times in their career. Many officers instead of practicing the police
code of ethics they develop their own ethics were they priotize the cover-up of their partners
more than valuing their service to the community. The culture requires the police to be tough and
should not show sign of weakness to their fellow officers no matter what the situation is. This
makes them to keep problems to themselves but it helps them deal with worse and troubling
situations (Chen, 2016).
The code of ethics for police are set to ensure that they work with high integrity has they

will not say anything about the situation (Klitzman, 2015).
This makes the community to start disrespecting the officers especially when they feel
that the officer has developed his own “cop code”. In the minority neighborhood, the community
