Introduction
With the continuous advancement of technology, the world is becoming more connected
as intercultural communication is enhanced. Cultures are merging as people move about the
planet, as corporations extend their tentacles ever further, while the internet extends its reach, TV
and movies span continents and language barriers, tourism sets people in cultures anywhere and
whenever they want (Reiter & Downing, 2020). Nonetheless, communication between different
cultures is at its peak and advancing every day. Globalization has widened the circle of many
cultures at people can communicate effectively around the world. People from different cultures
can now share values, attitudes, and ideas. The sharing of ideas leads to interaction and
interconnectedness between people from different countries and cultures. As a result of
globalization different cultures around the world have become interconnected due to mass media,
language, social media, growing understanding of cultural relativism, and broken communication
barriers.
Within the borders of many countries exist starkly different cultures which illustrate that
no such thing as a global culture exists. To a great extent, the cultures of the world are blending
into one, globalized culture. This trend has been occurring over the past 60 years as the world
global economy converges into one interconnected market, but the interesting part is that the
emerging global culture (Fedorova et al., 2019). Globalization enabled interactions between
people from different countries/cultures and has made the world more of a level place. As most
of the advancements in the present world have stemmed from the western philosophical line of
thinking, the population in the poor and developing world had no choice but to accept the best
practices of the developed world. Information-based economies have suddenly made different
