This is your first project. You will solely use Excel to accomplish this project. I will be posting a video in the next week that will walk you step-by-step through the project. You may or may not need it. It will take at least a couple of hours for most to complete it, so don't wait until the last minute! ABC Widget Company awards both cost of living adjustments (COLAs) and merit increases annually. ABC has 331 employees in four major divisions, Sales, Operations, Finance and HR, and Logistics. The performance evaluations have been conducted, and each employee has a rating of “Exceeds Expectations”, “Meets Expectations”, “Below Expectations”, or “Unacceptable”. The accompanying Excel workbook contains the information you need to accomplish the following instructions. You should download the Excel workbook, make all of the below changes and additions and submit your completed assignment in the appropriate dropbox by no later than 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 10. 1. On the “Employee Data” tab, change all the dates to the same format: MM/DD/YYYY. 2. Change the salary figures to a currency format with no decimal places. 3. Use a formula to apply a cost of living increase (COLA) of 1.75% to all salaries and create a column with the new salary labeled “Salary after COLA”. 4. Figure a compa ratio for each employee after the COLA and label the column “Compa Ratio”. 5. Add a new column called “Rating” and input the performance ratings for each employee according to the submissions from each division. 6. Add a column called “Division” and input the division name for each employee. 7. Create a chart using a pivot table that shows performance ratings by gender and include on a separate tab labeled “Chart”. 8. Use the matrix (tab called “Grid”) to figure each employee’s merit increase. (The sort and/or filter features will help here). Enter the merit increase percentage according to the grid in a column called “Merit %”. The merit increase should be entered in the following format: .08. Once all merit numbers have been entered, change the format of this column to %. 9. Add a column labeled “2019 Increase” and use a formula to calculate it using the merit increase percentage. 10. Add a column labeled “2019 Salary” and use a formula to calculate it using the “2019 Increase” and “Salary after COLA” data. 11. Add five blank worksheets to the workbook. Copy all of the information on the Employee Data tab and paste it into the first blank worksheet. Label the worksheet “Subtotals by Division”. Use the subtotal function to figure a subtotal salary (based on the “2019 Salary”) number by division. 12. Label the second blank worksheet “Sales Increases”, the third “Operations Increases”, the fourth “Finance & HR Increases”, and the fifth “Logistics Increases”. On each worksheet, enter all of the employee data information for only the employees in the labeled division, in order by highest to lowest “2019 Salary”. 13. On the “Employee Data” tab, use the “average” function to calculate an average salary increase percentage. This value should appear at the bottom of the “Merit %” column. 14. On the “Employee Data” tab, use the “sum” function to calculate a total for the increases. This value should appear at the bottom of the “2019 Increase” column.
