CRIME SCENE REPORT 2
Crime Scene Report
We arrived with the team of specialists at a residential house in Florida, on an early
March spring mid-morning at the scene of the burglary. The houses were in rather close
proximity, separated by simple wire fences. The residents were mostly of diverse community and
the population of passersby and people just hanging around was rather high, probably due to the
increased unemployment and low income. At the scene of the burglary was a single mother and a
young daughter. The daughter called the police and was home sick and thus out of school that
day. The girl recounted to the officers the details of the burglary and indicated the items that
were missing. We took a picture of her, the neighborhood inclusive of the house, and the entire
scene of crime.

table and the television set. All the items were picked up in a hurry.
Gathering information from the scene involved questioning the victim and possible
witnesses as well as a review of the crime scene. The officers did not enter the scene at first since
the girl was right outside the door waiting for the police. We immediately examined the door and
