Assignment: Isaac’s Case
Introduction
Isaac’s behavior is disruptive and categorized as workplace violence. Even though he is
in good terms with his patients, other nurses are finding it difficult to work with him. If the
problem is not addressed, it may compromise patient care since it breaks down communication
and collaboration. Conversely, conflict management in the workplace can be tedious but
necessary for workers at senior positions. They may involve mild agreements but can gravitate to
controversial levels that may require litigation. Conflicts among nurses negatively impact their
morale and quality of patient care. This essay focuses on the way I would handle Isaac’s conduct
in my position as an assistant nurse manager and ways I will analyze the effect of conflicts on
staff and provide ways of solving such issues as a nursing manager.
