Leadership in an organization is impacted by the effectiveness in achieving goals and the
way interaction between leaders, followers, and the situation becomes one element in leadership.
Leadership interaction may produce output and outcomes of qualified performance and be a vital
component in the organization. Measuring effectivity of a leader require indicators like the level
of performance of the team and achievement of objectives, attitudes of the followers as well as
leader's perception, leader's contribution to group quality processes like perceived followers and
degree of success in a career as a leader. Effective leadership can portray the followers and
leaders and also the situations involving their interactions in leadership. Leadership involves
having the capacity of influencing others in facilitating attainment of objectives in an
organization (McCleskey, 2014). It will utilize the influence in an organizational setting or
situation and produce a meaningful influence. Leadership also refers to a complicated
phenomenon that includes leaders, followers, and situations. Achievement of organizational
goals by change involves consideration of five elements. These elements include the leader's
follower, change, people, organizational objective, and influence. In the concept of leaders
follower, a leader's role influences followers. However, good followers show leadership role
when required and may influence the leader concerning his role in leadership in giving and
influencing each other. Another key element is the situation. Situations are different, and
therefore, leaders should use their judgement in deciding the correct action and the leadership
style referring to the developing situation. Even though there is some aspect of personality trait
which associates with leadership ability, critical approaches in understanding leadership consider
the personality characteristics and situation that a leader operates.
