Competency Assessment
The purpose of having conducted the competency assessment in the organization is to
establish mechanisms through which employees’ performance would be enhanced among other
related factors that affect productivity. The assessment also sought to develop a model that takes
into consideration the employees’ concerns in a bid to ensure they get satisfied in their place of
work thus controlling the rate of employees’ turnover. The competency-based assessment also
sought to establish the suitability of a personnel’s knowledge and skills in accomplishing a
particular task that is within his or her position. The assessment would thus be instrumental in
conducting job reviews, compensation and succession processes within the organization.
The critical success factors (CSF)
The CSFs are meant to spearhead the organization’s short and long-term goals within the
market especially in the competitive environment. The CSFs might vary from one organization to
the other but there are those that are similar regardless of the organization’s structure or nature
(Molwus, Erdogan, & Ogunlana, 2017). Some of the identified CSFs include the alignment of the
rewards and incentive among the employees in a bid to make them satisfied, increasing the market
share, provision of customer-oriented services and production process improvement.
The employees’ satisfaction is paramount in a bid to enhance productivity and
competitiveness in the market. This is because it reduces the turnover rate and enables the
employees to focus on the organizational goals and objectives both in the short and long-run plans.
The employees’ satisfaction is based on the provision of incentives, excellent compensation and
rewards, promotions and career development plans amongst the workers. The organization’s goal
is to gain a more significant market share for as long as possible (Brower, Moen, Hannah, Mullen,
Ainsworth, & McKellar, 2016). This is dependent on the quality of goods and services provided
