Changes in US society after Civil War
One of the first most important events which took place in USA subsequent to the Civil War was
the time of Reconstruction, which ended from about 1865 till 1876. This was a phase of immense
disturbance and the country attempted to restructure itself and amalgamate the Southern states
which nowadays had to turn out to be part of the Union. And untied slaves from the South, at
present found them with no system that had once managed almost all phase of their lives and
they had to discover a means to incorporate into a culture that was motionless. In the days
subsequent to Reconstruction, a phase of quick industrialization evolved in main cities crossways
the United States of America. The railroads supported this expansion and cities like Chicago saw
enormous increase in residents. Numerous African Americans observed their way to metropolitan
centers in hunt of employment in the various factories and manufacturing units. That was the era
of economic richness and as there was undoubtedly a big gap among the wealthy and working
poor, Americans were more and more trying to be urban as various left residence and farms in

The war has lead to opening of many hospitals and ambulances, with well defined wards with
facilities like surgery. There was a land of opportunity for all categories of people. The
communication has also increased with the help of better and advanced technology. The
Republican and Democratic parties survived after war and protected the interest of agrarian
