Astor Park Hotel is a hotel that initially was constructed as a dormitory of the University
of Northwest. It was then changed to a retirement home by Wells Fargo, which is a bank that is
based in California. Wells Fargo then took it for a remodel to Hyatt to be a hotel. After this,
Wells Fargo then sold the hotel to Andrew Pimentel who know named it the Astor Park Hotel.
Under Pimentel, it got tremendous success where Pimentel took several loans to remodel it as
well as paying the financing of the acquisition. As the hotel continued to be successful, the more
Pimentel continued acquiring more loans.
The analysis of this Hotels shows where one of the largest hotel operators; Starwood
hotels, considering to acquire the Astor Park Hotel. The potential hotel has experienced many
difficulties in revenue generation as a result of increased competition from competing hotels.
