Introduction
Animals should not be subjected to any form of testing according to the EU. Cosmetics
animals such as the mice, rabbits, and rats in most occasions get subjected to allergy related in
their membranes including the eyes and nose of this creatures. The chemicals that are used in this
animals are very dangerous and can cause a lot of harm to them. The chemicals affect their skin,
the eyes cause irritation and even causes burns on them. Fifty percent of the animals die from
this experiments that are done on them (Korsmeyer, P., & Kranzler, H. R, 2009). Due to health
complications that we human beings have, the scientist often prefer to use this animal for
research to see if they can find a better cure.
Scientists need to come up with better ways of conducting research without involving this
animal. Scientists need to understand that there are better ways of carrying out the study without
hurting another specimen. In this era, there is an advancement in technology and there is need of
coming up with better ways of solving such problems. Animals need not be subjected to such
tests as they are termed as harmful and may even lead to their death. While carrying out such
tests the scientists should device better means on how to handle the situation at hand without
causing damage Korsmeyer, P., & Kranzler, H. R, 2009). The EU banning of testing on animals
is a good step that has been taken to help protect the cosmetics. Therefore, the essay will discuss
the prohibition of animal testing.
