MINERALS
We live in an age where most of us are known as the generation of advanced
technology. With some of the inventions our brainiacs have produced, we can certainly
do something. We wake up with the sun rising from the edge of the sky, marked by a
gold line that beautifully lights up the horizon. The sun's beams convert the entire blue
sky into blazing red and orange colors, as if everything were on fire.. On the other hand,
some people have no choice but to wake up early to give everything in their power to
fulfill the needs of their loved ones. We can say that it is a beautiful day to start your life,
but others seem to feel it's on their shoulders to do a job.
With natural wealth, scenic, and historical sites, all countries have been
fortunate. The Philippines, however, stands out from all of them because of its
paradisiacal-like spectacular locations and inhabitants. It's one of a kind. We have a lot
of resources here in our country, but then we don't have enough funding for the
research. There are a lot of things to mention. Watching this documentary made me
realize how hard it is to live. Mining for commodities is necessary for our time. In daily
life, the services we need are essential. Coal, copper, gold, silver, sand, and others are
products that are all mined.
Despite being blessed with abundant land, the people of Samar are the poorest
in this country. A small town in Samar discovered a mineral that could help them gain
prosperity. They found chromite. A mineral that inventors used to make metal, ballpens,
cellphones, and a lot of things that we use for our daily lives. After learning about this,
they stopped planting and harvesting goods because those soils were now
contaminated and were not enough to support the roots. Mining, though, creates
environmental threats and will degrade the soil and water quality. It can also end up
impacting humans if not taken care of because all of the damages that have arisen are
permanent. Miners exclusively receive 2 pesos per kilogram.
Luck is not as random as you think. It isn't as easy as it seems. You are lucky
enough to lie on the bed, or to make it more simple, having a shelter to protect you
makes you fortunate. It may be laborious to accept, but take a look at the lives of these
children and you'll see. These children suffer a lot, to the extent of missing school
because they can't afford to pay their school expenses. At a very young age, they're
already handling big problems. What's worse is that even if it hurts, they'll only laugh it
off. Most of them take days off, only getting one meal a day, and sometimes, they move
out with wholly nothing to eat. They're the ones expected to work a lot throughout the
day because they need to help each other and support one another.
