As for the tawjihi, despite the efforts being made to develop it and restore its prestige, its
results are not acceptable. Last year, it raised one hundred thousand students to the twelfth
grade. Less than sixty thousand took the high school exam, of whom only forty percent
passed. I mean, out of every four students who sit in the second grade of high school, less
than one graduate from high school! And this year's results took a same pattern.

And every year we are surprised by the headlines in the newspapers such as "Three hundred
schools, of which no student has succeeded ..."! I will mention here an incident that I do not
like to remember - but we must all not forget it: I received an exam paper without answers ...
the hall supervisor wrote on it with the letter: The student is illiterate; meaning, he does not
know how to read and write!
A student who spent twelve years in our schools; He did not learn how to read and write!

Education reform is an interdependent and complex process that requires an unprecedented
effort from us .. to achieve unprecedented results. We have to reconsider structural issues
such as education management, and put in place policies that attract high competencies to
the education profession and maintain their level, and with equal importance accountability
and bear responsibility for weak learning outcomes and its causes.

mathematics or Arabic, but without providing them with any specific training on how to

How can we expect our children to excel in today's world if we do not provide them with basic
technology and the Internet and teach them its ABCs from childhood? There are hundreds of
schools in Jordan that are not connected to the Internet. As for schools that are connected by
the Internet, most of them suffering from weakness of connection and low speed. Therefore,
we look forward with optimism to the efforts being made to complete the fibre connection in
the Kingdom, with our emphasis on the need to connect all our schools for it.

There is no shame in benefiting from foreign experiences .. to attract any talent from
wherever it is, and expand our perceptions. In our fast
world, we should import the benefit of the wheel. Let us learn from those who succeeded ...
Let us import and use the expertise of others ... Let us take the foundations and build
Jordanian monuments; Able to bring up generations of global International realisation in
Jordanian identity.

The most important change is to break the intellectual stereotypes and traditional
determinants that have made our education static, neither dialogue nor life beating in it ...
stable, changing times and increasing our ambitions and it does not match them. The most
difficult obstacles we overcome by freeing ourselves from the high walls that we have built
within us that obscure our vision of what we can be.

The education that we provide our children with over a period of twelve years should be a
journey worth their childhood, worth their time and trust.
A journey that begins with planting the seeds of a love of science in them, and they lead with
open minds and thirsty senses.
Who among us does not want that?

Then we put our biggest investment ... as our most important priority, so that government
allocations reflect the ambition of Jordanians for a qualitative education ... and we proceed
together with confident and fast steps towards the future we want without fear or shame.
I have previously called for a comprehensive renaissance in education. But our Jordanian
body cannot stand if all its parts are not moved to rise.

Jordan is a state of institutions, and you are all decision-makers, and historical changes like
the one we are facing today require collective decision-making and joint action, quickly.
How I hope that we do not become enthusiastic about change, and become affected by the
experience of responsibility. I would like to stress that we are not here today to blame it,
which is a waste of time.

Between - what we are today - and that day .. consensus on the priority of education, a
Jordanian resolve that cannot be discouraged, and a commitment to a clear national plan to
get out of this tunnel .. Within the walls of this hall - and outside it - we have enough
responsibility; And talent; And faith in education to lead change and push its wheel. Let us
resolve; And we go until our education sees the light of knowledge and we realize the
ambition of Jordan and the Jordanians.

Last year, it raised one hundred thousand students to the twelfth grade. Less than sixty thousand took the high school exam, of whom only forty percent passed. I mean, out of every four students who sit in the second grade of high school, less than one graduate from high school! And this year's results took a same pattern. 5:58-8:05 ‫ مدرسة لم ينجح منها اي طالب و سأذكر هنا حادثا ال احب ان‬300 ‫وكل عام نتفاجئ بعناوين كبيرة في الصحف على غرار‬ ‫ان اتذكرها لكن علينا جميعا ان ال ننساها وصلتني ورقة امتحان دون اجوبة كتب عليها مشرف الفاعة بالحرف الطالب أمي‬ ‫ سنة في مدارسنا لم يتعلم كيف يقرأ ويكتب‬12 ‫اي ال يعرف القراءة و الكتابة طالبا امضى‬ And every year we are surprised by the headlines in the newspapers such as "Three hundred schools, of which no student has succeeded ..."! I will mention here an incident that I do not like to remember - but we must all not forget it: I received an exam paper without answers ... the hall supervisor wrote on it with the letter: The student is illiterate; meaning, he does not know how to read and write! A student who spent twelve years in our schools; He did not learn how to read and write! ‫ان اصالح التعليم عملية متداخلة و متشعبة و تتطلب منا جهدا غير مسبوق و نتائج غير مسبوقة علينا اعادة النظر في‬ ‫القضايا الهيكلي مثل ادارة التعليم و وضع سياسات تجلب الكفاءات العالية لمهنة التعليم و تحافظ على مستواهم و بنفس‬ ‫االهمية المساءلة و تحمل مسؤولية ضعف مخرجات التعليم واسبابه‬ Education reform is an interdependent and complex process that requires an unprecedented effort from us .. to achieve unprecedented results. We place heavy responsibilities on him without being able to carry it. Despite this, we find him standing at the front of the class and trying his best for the sake of his students. ‫كيف نتوقع من ابنائنا التفوق في عالم اليوم ان لم نوفر لهم التكنولوجيا الحديثة و االنترنت و نعلمهم ابجدياتها منذ الصغر‬ ‫هناك مئات المدارس في االردن غير مربوطة باالنترنت اما المدارس المشمولة بشبكة االنترنت معظمها تعاني من ضعف‬ ‫حزم الربط و فلة سرعتها و لذا نتطلع بتفاءل الى الجهور التي تبذل الستكمال شبكة االلياف الضؤئية في المملكة مع تأكيدنا‬ ‫على ضرورة ربط جميع مدارسنا فيها‬ How can we expect our children to excel in today's world if we do not provide them with basic technology and the Internet and teach them its ABCs from childhood? There are hundreds of schools in Jordan that are not connected to the Internet. As for schools that are connected by the Internet, most of them suffering from weakness of connection and low speed. We have a 10-year road plan in hand; Most successful determined; And the easiest way to reform education; And here we are moving towards the light. Thanks to the National Committee for Human Resources Development for all its efforts. 10:10-12 ‫لم يوصف االردن بأرض العزم عرضا فقد أتبت االردنيون مرارا ان ارادو فعلو و نحن نريد تعليم نوعيا البناءنا ف لنبدأ من‬ ‫حيث نطمح لنصل‬ Jordan was not described as the land of determination expediently.
