1. Introduction
Luckin Coffee an online-based company. In other words, this firm is very much like other
Chinese tech companies in that it more closely resembles a tech startup than a coffee shop.
Furthermore, Luckin Coffee's digitalization and standardization of an offline retail company
provided greater stability to the operation. To a certain extent, Luckin Coffee consumers utilize an
application to order their coffee and pick it up in-store, a stark contrast to the cozy, well-being
spaces offered by the competition Starbucks. The business concept of Luckin Coffee is founded
on innovative retail in China (DaxueConsulting, 2020). To put it another way, online customers
get the additional experience of being served by an actual staff when they go into a store to
purchase a coffee. However, on April 2nd, China's largest coffee chain, announced that a company
investigation discovered that its CEO had faked the 2019 sales by roughly $310 million and was
fired (Lucas, 2020).
