The embedded systems have become common in the modern computing world. Many
technologies are moving towards computing and thus calling for the technologist to adopt the
embedded system in almost all kinds of systems. Today it’s common to get systems working on
embedded platforms in areas of automotive, airplane control among other important areas. The
technology is becoming common as we move in the future and is expected to be much stronger
and useful in every aspect. Many articles relating to this technology have been written over the
years. This paper takes one of the articles and gives a summary and the author conclusion on the
topic provided in the paper.
The article “Porting an AUTOSAR-Compliant RTOS to a high performance ARM
embedded platform discusses several issues relating to the automotive control as relates to the
traditional electronic control. The article was written on July 4 2014 and posted on embedded
system and is coauthored by different scholars. It starts off by highlighting that the traditional
technology on automotive was quite constraining since it lacks most of important resources and
had also some limitations relating to the cost and other issues. It has however been replace by the
automotive software. The author highlights that this development of software is exceeding the
capacity of the former technology.
The authors give an overview of how the current technology in automobile is such similar
to the technologies being developed on phones and computers as well as other media and
networking. They highlight that these technology are likely to expand in the near future with
more of such technologies becoming more significant and efficient as we move in the future. The
authors give credit to the network of embedded systems which represent the development and the
future of the automotive ECU. They call for the development of new form of ECU which will
improve on existing standards as well as ensure that the embedded system work in future.
