Answer:
Recruitment is a very important task of HR department of any organization. It is very important
to assess the skills required in the employees which are to be recruited. Nurses are integral part
of every healthcare organization. In case of recruiting nurses, internal recruiting sources cannot
be applied fully. Transfers within the organization for example will not do the job here, because
it will leave equal number of vacancies unfilled. But existing staff knows the requirement of
organization, thus they can make good recommendations. Existing staff must be asked to
recommend candidates for vacancies. Moreover, promotions can also be given if these 20
vacancies include the vacancy of chief nurse or department head. Promotions within organization
save a lot of costs, and motivate other workers to excel in their skill and work to get promoted in
future.
Now coming to external sources, Academy style of staffing should be applied instead of giving
advertisements. Graduates of good universities and institutions should be invited to apply for the
jobs. It brings in new ideas and competition in the organization. Moreover, academic record of
students can help interviewer in many ways, and help them in short listing candidates.

as talented and perhaps more experienced compare to young ones.
Moreover, discrimination based on race, gender and sex should also be avoided and selection
tests should be designed to neutralize all these factors to provide equal ground for all candidates
