Change is very vital for any organization. We live in an environment where change is
usually a key factor. The business world is expanding day by day so as to come to terms with the
changing technology. These continued changes in an organization usually prepare companies in
the way the organization operates (Biech, 2007)). XYZ Company wants to expand and change
with the new technology so as to maintain its competitive advantage. Small scale change is the
way in which small businesses are affected by the change in the large-scale organizations. Small-
scale organizations are usually found in the led developed countries. XYZ may be a small-scale
change, but through its expansion, it will be able to provide a source of employment to the
region, and increase their living standards, thus have a large scale impact.
This project will require different layers of permits and a legal start-up licensing. The
need to deal with the space required will be determined by the strategic marketing plan for
different areas which will create a vision for the company. For the long term change model, John
Kotter’s change model can be used in this organization. A change coalition must be formed in
order for change to be successful (Kotter, 2012). This collation usually involves most of the
experienced employees who have diversified skills. One of the things to consider while
expanding the company in different parts of the world is the culture of the geographic region
where you are expanding too. The plan, act, and study is the one that will be used in guiding and
increasing the improvement. This model will be used to replace other change models and also in
doing any necessary accelerations.
As we had said earlier, Kotter’s 8-step model will be used for long-term changes in this
expansion plan because it cannot happen instantly and automatically. This model requires a lot of
planning and deep analysis of the environment. After those two, it is safe now to implement this
