In order for the GU learning management system to be successful, it will need to support
the goals and objectives of the university as per the strategy. This can however be made by
measuring the success of the system in making the difference in the institution learning
management. The learning management system needs to be measured by having certain goals
that will set the threshold for measuring the success of the system.
The set goals of the university will be able to record whether the system is working or
not. Some of the goals for the system would be able to include different issues that look on the
control of the system as well as predicting the outcomes. It may also look at the evaluation and
understanding of the new working environments as provided by the new system.
On the other hand, it will be good to understand the current stakeholders and the impact
that they can offer to the system. Stakeholders participate in different ways to ensure that the
system becomes a success or becomes useful as intended. Some of the stakeholders who
participate in different ways include the project manager, the sponsor as well as customers to the
project and the users (Kats, 2010).
Understanding what the team is supposed to give at the end of the development of the
system creates the deliverables. The team will need to deliver a system that meets certain goals at
certain level which in this case are the milestones. At each point a milestone is met, it means
there must be something that the system delivers.
Understanding the risks and issues involved in meeting the development of the GU new
learning management system will help to plan and look for contingences that will help address
the issues. Doing so will help in coming up with a well-organized and intended results of the
system.
