This paper is a clear explanation of the compare and contrast thought of two leadership theories
Competency-based leadership style and the Servant Leadership style. In this paper I will examine
both styles one by one and also include their strengths and weaknesses for more clear concepts. I
will also evaluate that the competency based leadership mode; will integrate with the servant
leadership style or not. These both styles are widely used and the strengths and weaknesses of
both are also in debate.
The discussion in this paper starts with the evaluation of the competency-based model. This
model used to select human beings on their attributes, specialization, qualities, and expertise
such as the specialized and innovative capability, numerical or exploratory learning, critical
thinking abilities, conclusiveness and constancy, and interpersonal abilities and capacities.
Competency based administration is the place there is a situated of aptitudes that are utilized to
focus the adequacy of pioneers picked. Associations endeavor to distinguish the abilities it
accepts are most paramount for initiative in their association. These individuals accept that is the
best parkway to take. The shortcoming of this sort of authority is that the models are regularly
questionable and subject to translation. The methodology to servant initiative is to concentrate on
the capability to make esteem for all stakeholders in an association, and to nature and social
order. This model is dependent upon serving more stupendous else's benefit. The weaknesses of
this model are more personal than professional. The perception about shortcomings are also
different and also explained by different researcher in different manners.
On the other hand, the Servant Leadership model is about helping others, and being there to
verify the entire group is effective along these lines the whole organization will likewise be. It is
serving others in light of the fact that is the correct thing to do and will make a positive
