1. Sources of Resistance to Change for Ajax Minerals
Resistance to change is considered as a challenge for any organization in the way to implement
in the organization. The Ajax Minerals company has to recognize and understand that how
change can affect all branches of the company. In this regards, the Ajax recognized that it had
achieved the glory in the market and operating at full capacity. Then the reaction of competitors
has created an alarming situation for the company. If not handle this competitors threats
appropriately could lead to danger grave for the survival of company.
Two possible sources of resistance to change for the organization are the deficiency of company
in adapting to change and the second one and poor management and labor relationships. If a
company does not adopted to change in today’s era of technology and development regarding
production and services, it’s attractiveness among customers in relation to its competitors may
ultimately go downward. It is very difficult for the company’s to make high profits and enjoy up-
to speed excellence if it doesn’t handle its competitive marketplace. The poor or bad
relationships between management and workforce are second resistance to change. The
inappropriate communication network, defective management style and behavior towards
employees, and ineffective mutual understanding are the main reasons behind the bad
relationships peers and employees in Ajax Mineral. The workforce of Ajax undermines the
authority of management and they considered that they would have to lay-off or provide less pay
if they dislike their peers.
