Bias Reflection
Parent show biases while dealing with their children, many of time it is unconscious. Parents in
their own behavior show negative attitude, especially through facial expressions, certain postures
and body language. Whenever parents see their children to play with certain group of people
involved in negative activities they become harsh and talk about their biases at loud while
dealing with children. Because for many parents it could be a family prejudice and they try to
prevent these. There are also biases when one of your family members is involved in drug abuse
that can affect whole family. This is because you face negative attitude from the societythe
way people see, feel and behave about whole family. Family relationships are considered as
intimate relationships and bias is learned within the context of intimacy. So, the victim of drug
abuse may feel some loyalty to uphold harsh attitude, if it is the attitude that one family member
conveys. When all other family members have different attitudes, there is possibility of mixing
of advices which can put the victim of drug abuse in difficult situation. The parents of them
expect that drug control authorities take serious steps in order to control drug abuse. In case of
proper mentoring of children for preventing those to involve in negative activities with others
and to control drug abuse, it is important to educate as well train parents so that they better look
after their love ones.
