JUDAISM TENETS 2
JUDAISM TENETS
Tenet, by definition, is a belief on rule respected by someone or a group of individuals. In
Judaism, various tenets were present. They include identity, Monotheism as well as Covenant,
which mainly symbolizes God's love. In this case, monotheism in Judaism meant the existence of
one God. According to Judaism, this one God is Yahweh. From the tenet, God is the creator of the
universe as well as has control over the humans. Also, according to doctrine, we have Judaism
believing in God to be spiritual rather than being a physical being.it is Judaism that calls for human
unity as chosen people. Among them, wad fare is made of God's image (Smith, 2017).
Judaism also teaches on covenants. It shows the agreements between God and the
respective individuals like Moses and Abraham, among others. These covenants were a sealing of
God’s words to the nations. He also identified his messengers to the land where prophets were
highly used for professes and casting words on the chosen individuals by God. It is their belief to
be mandated to maintain and repair the work world (Smith, 2017).
Also, we have Torah which is believed by Judaism to be a symbol for long life with
highlights on how to lead their lives; they include rules and recommendations. They believe
knowledge on God is only found in the Torah alone. Therefore, whoever wanted to know God had
to go through the Torah entirely for better understanding (Shostak, 2017).
In this, due to these beliefs, their faith got them believing these tenets. Also, Judaism went
ahead and began to practice the rules and regulations. These beliefs, therefore have a commonality
of first believing then later these believe become their daily practices (Shostak, 2017).
