How IT Promotes Getting People Affected By Policies
Introduction
Task one
Information technology is an essential ingredient for the continuous development of a
nation. For the past few decades, Information Technology has been very crucial in shaping the
everyday lives of many citizens. However, it is not easy for one to assess the capability of
influence that IT has on policies (Selwyn, 2004). The evaluation of potential impacts is not that
easy. In explaining my point, it is not easy because the information technology department is not
a collection of uniform technologies; however, it has quite several different technological
components. Information Technology comprises of traditional media like radio, press, television
and the new computers. They are entirely based on technology, plays an essential role in poverty
reduction and advancing economic growth. The primary purpose of this assignment is to find out
how information technology promotes getting people who are affected by policies involved in
the policymaking process.
First, let us look at the Information Technology from the perspective and policies of
evolutionary economics. Evolutionary economics enables a person to make statements about the
possible results of an ongoing innovation process. When applying the evolutionary economics
approach to various markets, the companies are responsible for generating policies by competing
for the buying powers of their consumers. Arguably, the relevant market is responsible for
delimiting the environment used for selection. Changes in technology have proven to be very
important for economic development over the last few years. Traditionally, companies used
consumers as a primary source of revenue. With the growing IT, consumers had been lucky to
