From the figure 1 shown below, is a copy of the Final E-R model accompoanied with its
attributes. The entities are direct representatiuon of tables envisaged to be created in SQL
commands. The tables will therefore include Suppliers, Faults, Tests, Products, Orders, and
Customers following the Process of manufacturing and selling as seen by Merill Hands Tool Ltd.
This representation of E-R model hjas been provided inform of PNG formart as a separte file for
functions such as clarity, and visibility. The diagram shoen below is also a representation of the
datab se meodel yet to be implemted on SQL Interface, and the drawing was guided by selecting
the Cross foot notation formart of the database design. From the First Normal form as seen on
the diagram, the model has been normalised to its 4

Normal Form throughout the tables, so that
we avoid data redundancy, and repetition.
Assumptions
i. Exclusion of human respource entities, attributes, and their relationship to the included
entities.
ii. Exclusion of marketing operations entity, atributes, and their relationship to the included
entities.
iii. Exclusion of Finance and Accounatacy entities and attributes, and their relationship to the
included entities.
iv. No relationships between tests, faults and customers
v. No relationships between test, faults, and Orders
vi. Test and faults are only directed to functions related to Table “Products”
