Their Heritage is founded from Scotland, Ireland, England, France, as well as Germany. Years ago, the Appalachian people came to the U.S seeking better economic opportunities and freedom of religion. However, when they came to the United States, they decided to isolate themselves in the Appalachian Mountains and continued to practice their cultural beliefs (Fairclough et al., 2016). Appalachian regions are a system of mountainous terrain that stretches the far Eastern North America to the Southern Tier of New York. A central trait of the Appalachian people is that they are typically white, rural folk, and blue collar workers. It generally comprises of white who are descendants of early Welsh settlers, ScotchIrish, Scottish, Irish, and English or African-American (Fairclough et al., 2016).
