Laypersons and scientists alike often report that a solution to a problem may come to
mind after having taken a break from thinking about the problem. Does incubation really work?
Sometimes people continuously think about finding an appropriate solution for a
problem, but it does not work at all. A number of theoretical models have been presented
overtime to deal with the human psychology and their attitude towards different situations and
prevailing problems. However, the most appropriate one is the cognitive approach because it
addresses all the possible approaches of human psychology towards solving a given problem.
The problem solving procedure begins with the identification of the problem because exerting
efforts in a wrong direction is useless (BAJNBRIDGE, 1973). Once a person gets information
about a prevailing problem, then it would become easy to exert some useful efforts towards
finding an appropriate solution, but sometimes people adopt behaviorist approach and follow
schema theory for finding a solution to the given problem. This type of approach is based upon
producing a series of responses towards a specific problem. However, most of the time people
