Every experience in a career in information technology is bound to provide some form of insight

on some of the different aspects of the technology field, whose improvement would improve a

career position. With this in mind, my experience within the information technology field has

always improved my performance, by gaining insight into a different approach to dealing with

issues with the ultimate product being some IT related services. For instance, my first job

involved working at the IT helpdesk, where I gained significant insight on customer relations, and

understood that customers are often looking for hope and someone capable of explaining issues

to them irrespective of how difficult they could appear to be from an information technology

professional’s perspective. I have since been involved in backroom services, with my role in the

Quality Assurance department further teaching me on the importance of proper oversight,

irrespective of how much an organization may put into automation of services. Ultimately, human

involvement helps address some of the issues that the machines could easily have ignored due to

configuration issues. Ultimately, the greatest experience of all has been the development of

management skills from extensive interaction with employees from different backgrounds, the

extent of which has helped me develop skills on interpersonal relationships that otherwise

eluded me earlier on in my career.

My responsibilities included

• Evaluation of quality management protocols’ efficiency in quality

production

• Random evaluation of production quality through interaction and

participation in quality assessment with the available team

• Drawing up of reports related to quality evaluation for

consideration in policy development

• Listening and addressing concerns raised by the quality assessment

team, evaluation of such concerns, and a consequent presentation of

the same to the quality management team.

• Establishment of protocols based on which to determine the quality

of products for the assessment teams on duty at any particular time.

• Acting as a liaison between the quality assessment team and the

quality management staff through the representation of the team in

management meetings associated with the teams’ activities.

• Provision of direction to the assessment team whenever such

intervention is necessary.
