However, constructive methods promote commitment,

3. Effective listening
Effective listening is designed to comprehend the
employee’s point of view regarding issues in their work
environment. In addition, effective listening is an effectual
approach to understanding the obstacles workers encounter
in their day-to-day life (Coetzee, Van der Merwe & Van
Dyk, 2016).
4. Effective communication
Lean encourages continuous improvement. Every
individual in the organization has the best ideas for
enhancing a product or a service so each must be heard.
Lean considers long feedback loops as waste of time and
instead, proposes standardized procedures for
communication and knowledge sharing (Aij & Teunissen,
2017). As a result, this ensures relevant, informed, and
timely decisions are made.

Meaningful challenge focuses on specific aspects of the
job. A challenging climate creates energy and constructive

Organizational leaders to physically visit the place of value
creation to understand what takes place on front-lines and
the problems employees are encountering (Goodridge et al.,
2015). The method shows that a leader appreciate workers
and aids in prompt problem solving. As result, waste is
reduced significantly.
4. Lead coach
The company manager remains the lead coach and mentor
in ensuring that every element within the firm is being
tackled using the correct lean approaches (Aij & Teunissen,
2017). Weekly assessments aid in keeping track of
performance.

mentoring, and Coaching
The development of front-line employees is the center of
lean framework and it involves problem-solving, goal
setting and performance improvement (Costa et al., 2019).
Employees become empowered with capabilities and
strengths to solve problems effectively. Further, once
workers learn to solve problems, it becomes their real
behavior and creates mutual trust (Goodridge et al., 2015).
Therefore, teaching and coaching, leads to higher levels of
performance that sustain the lean transformation in the
entire organization. It also aids in the attainment of long
term goals and enhances performance.
2. Vision and mission sharing
Constant sharing of the vision with workers and listening to
their vision creates commitment to a common goal (Aij &
Teunissen, 2017). This, way, it becomes less difficult to
attain organizational vision, mission, and objectives.
3. Change in organizational
culture
Monthly meetings should be held between the management
and the team to determine additional approaches the
company can take to instigate a culture of cost effectiveness
and efficiency to reach perfection.
4. Hoshin kanri
Goals and policies are aligned with consumer needs at all
levels of the organization encountering (Goodridge et al.,
2015). Thus, monthly assessments using reports and
summaries will focus on ensuring that the goals of each
team align with the company’s strategic goal.
