Part of the collection process, we collected the clients with 60 days thru 90 days payments as credit cards. This receiepartment to instantly affect the A/R days. However, the company had changed the policy to point of sale for credit cards only. The stakeholders by this chan the A/R department, sales reps, customer service, warehouse manger and delivery drivers as well as the Corporate Finance officer. First, customer service had to begin to take financial information for customers with outstanding balances over 60 days past due before taking their order. The salesman lost potential customers order due the new process. The change effected both inventory days as well as A/R affected the warehou and the A/R department. The Corporate Finance Officer saw the rise in these two indicators. by syep Stakeholders can be defined as investors of a business, employees to such entities as a whole community or government. The example I will be using for this discussion is my current work environment in an internet sales consultant unit of an automobile dealership. Our job is to reach out to customers to determine if they have received exceptional customer care and to set appointments for the salesman in order to sale our products, which range from motorcycles to new Cadillacs. The stakeholders in this example are the general manager, business development manager and the six internet consultants that share one room. It is a microscopic work environment were everything is shared and debated. We have went through a management change that resulted in a manager of a few months being demoted and a long term staff being promoted into the management position. The demoted manager was able to keep a job but the tension and politics in our workplace was out of control. Fortunately, we talked as a group and worked through the issues, and developed a plan for our work environment to not only survive but remain fruitful. It took involving the general manager but the goal was accomplished. In the end, the demoted manager ended up leaving for another position outside of the automotive industry.
